We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee HR Consultant to join our growing HR Support team. This entry level role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in HR consulting, where you will gain hands on experience, develop valuable skills, and work alongside experienced professionals. With comprehensive training and CIPD Level 5 sponsorship, you will grow into a key contributor in supporting clients with HR and people management needs.

You are eager to learn, with a passion for HR and a desire to make a meaningful impact. You are organised, proactive, and have strong communication skills. You are reliable, able to work independently, and comfortable engaging with clients. While no formal HR qualifications are necessary, you demonstrate a genuine interest in HR and are excited to develop your skills and knowledge in this area.

How You Will Make an Impact 

  • Support clients with effective, tailored HR advice and documentation. 

  • Gain expertise in various HR functions, policies, and industry best practices. 

  • Assist in ensuring clients remain compliant with ever-evolving employment legislation. 

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of key HR solutions, from recruitment to offboarding. 

  • Support the HR team in driving client satisfaction and success by delivering clear, practical advice. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Client Support: Provide HR assistance, advice, and tailored documentation to clients, ensuring their employment matters are addressed efficiently. 

  • Shadowing and Training: Work closely with experienced HR consultants to gain knowledge across HR functions, policies, and compliance standards. 

  • Documentation and Compliance: Help maintain clients' HR documentation, ensuring it is up-to-date and legally compliant. 

  • HR Areas of Focus: Over time, provide advice on key HR topics, including Absence Management, GDPR compliance, Redundancy, Disciplinary and Grievance matters, TUPE, Family-Friendly Policies, and more. 

  • Legislation Updates: Assist in keeping clients informed about legislative changes and help ensure their policies and procedures stay aligned with current laws. 

Candidate Profile 

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and has the following key qualities: 

  • A strong desire to make a positive impact on clients’ businesses. 

  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to simplify complex information. 

  • A reliable, organised approach to work, with a commitment to follow through on tasks. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels. 

  • Flexibility in working style and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. 

Qualifications and Requirements 

  • No specific qualifications or prior HR experience required although it is an advantage; we are looking for enthusiasm, strong organisational skills, and a commitment to learning.  

  • A CIPD qualification is advantageous, but we offer sponsorship for the right candidate. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general administrative skills is preferred.
