We are seeking a Contracts Associate with a strong interest in contract law to support legal and risk management across the Group. Whether you're an experienced professional or a law graduate, this role offers an excellent opportunity to apply your legal expertise in contract administration, legal compliance, and risk mitigation. We also provide training and development opportunities for law graduates to advance their skills.

How You Will Make an Impact

In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of contract management across the Group. This includes ensuring contracts are legally compliant, mitigating risks, and aligning agreements with the company’s business objectives. Your attention to detail, legal knowledge, and analytical skills will be key in maintaining the integrity of contracts. While expertise in company secretarial matters and company law is beneficial, it is not essential. You will also provide advice on contract-related matters and support contract reviews, contributing to effective contract management within the Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of contract administration and management across the Group.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate contracts to ensure they meet legal requirements and align with business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and advice on contract-related matters, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Support the Group General Counsel in mitigating legal risks and safeguarding the company’s legal interests.
  • Assist with legal compliance initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement within the Group’s contract management processes.

Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in contract management or legal studies are an advantage.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in contract management, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the insurance sector, including company law and company secretarial practice.
  • A law graduate with a strong interest in contract law, including expertise in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts.

Skills:

  • Legal Acumen: Strong understanding of contract law and regulatory compliance.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to assess risks and create effective strategies.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Organisational Skills: Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
  • Technical Proficiency: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and contract management software.
