How you will make an impact

As an Account Executive at Clear Group, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and strengthening client relationships. Focused on both new business acquisition and client retention, you will actively seek out and identify fresh opportunities, while ensuring existing clients’ evolving needs are met with expert insurance solutions.

You will work closely with clients to provide tailored advice, manage policy renewals, and navigate the complexities of the insurance market. This is a proactive, results-driven role that requires a mix of new business development, strong client service, and in-depth industry knowledge.

We are looking for someone who can balance business growth with long-term client satisfaction, all while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and Clear Group’s service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor, fostering deep, consultative relationships grounded in expertise, integrity, and consistency.
  • Proactively anticipate client needs by staying attuned to their business goals, industry trends, and evolving challenges.
  • Deliver a tailored client experience by customising solutions and communications to align with business type, sector, and individual priorities.
  • Champion client satisfaction through prompt issue resolution and a relentless focus on adding value and enhancing retention.

New Business Development

  • Drive sustainable growth by identifying, engaging, and converting new business opportunities across your network, referrals, and wider market activity.
  • Take a consultative sales approach, deeply understanding prospects’ needs and delivering bespoke insurance solutions that build trust and demonstrate clear value.
  • Build a robust personal pipeline through strategic outreach, attendance at industry events, and effective use of warm leads and referrals.
  • Collaborate with marketing and internal teams to support campaign activity, nurture leads, and follow up on inbound enquiries.
  • Maintain an entrepreneurial mindset, consistently seeking emerging opportunities in niche or underserved markets.
  • Present with professionalism and impact—virtually and in person—to influence key stakeholders and secure long-term relationships.
  • Consistently meet or exceed growth targets, contributing to the Clear Group’s broader commercial goals while upholding exceptional service standards.

Renewal and Policy Management

  • Lead the full renewal process, ensuring timely engagement, strategic negotiation, and optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Utilise benchmarking and data insights to articulate value and justify renewal terms with confidence.
  • Support clients as their businesses grow or shift, ensuring coverage evolves in line with changing risk profiles.
  • Prioritise retention through proactive communication, seamless execution, and an unwavering commitment to exceeding expectations.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Embed a strong compliance culture in every client interaction, upholding ethical standards and transparent practices.
  • Clearly communicate regulatory changes and obligations, helping clients stay informed and compliant.
  • Actively support internal risk controls by identifying and escalating potential issues early.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready records that reflect professionalism, diligence, and regulatory awareness.

Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Promote a collaborative and supportive environment, mentoring Account Handlers and junior colleagues toward shared success.
  • Encourage cross-functional teamwork to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across departments.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture by celebrating wins, sharing knowledge, and motivating peers to exceed collective goals.

Market Knowledge and Industry Engagement

  • Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring market developments, regulatory updates, and emerging risks relevant to your clients.
  • Use your insights to position Clear Group as a trusted advisor and thought leader within the industry.
  • Build strategic partnerships with insurers, brokers, and networks to access better deals, unique insights, and innovative products.
  • Represent Clear at industry events and forums, enhancing brand visibility and bringing back intelligence to inform strategy and service.
  • Share market insights internally to drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of learning and innovation.
