Compliance Manager / Business Partner

This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

You will play a key role in strengthening compliance across the Clear London Markets division. Acting as a senior compliance advisor and business partner, you’ll embed good conduct, assess risk, and provide commercially practical guidance aligned with FCA and Lloyd’s regulatory standards. Your work will ensure operational integrity, support strategic goals, and enhance Clear Group’s wholesale and reinsurance compliance capability.

Essential experience and skills

  • Knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements, including SMCR and ICOBS, within wholesale and reinsurance.
  • Experience working in or advising a Lloyd’s broker or within the London Market.
  • Operational or broking experience in a regulated insurance business.
  • Understanding of traditional and non-traditional insurance and reinsurance models.

What will make you stand out

  • Experience contributing to regulatory frameworks in a broking or wholesale setting.
  • Familiarity with reinsurance placement, Coverholder agreements, and delegated authority oversight.
  • Working towards or holding a recognised professional qualification (e.g., CII, ICA).

The Compliance team ensures Clear Group operates with integrity, transparency, and in line with regulatory standards. You will influence colleagues and teams, providing guidance to strengthen compliance and improve customer outcomes. The team works collaboratively across the London Markets and wider business to embed compliance into day-to-day operations.
